Update 3: Michelle and Michael's Wedding

Okay, my last update. Hopefully I can keep this up from now on. My good friend Michelle got married to her perfect man over Labor Day weekend. It was such a beautiful wedding and so much fun. I'm very glad we were able to make it to Fargo.

We got to take a picture with the bride and groom - so beautiful. And Sean bought an NDSU tie especially for this occasion - "GO BISON"

In other news, I am defending my Master's Thesis on Friday October 2nd. Both Sean's parents and my parents are coming out - so that should be fun (and terrifying until I get if finished). I leave the 8th of October for a conference in Orlando. I'm really excited to complete my 2nd service project there. When I get back the job search will start. I'm looking in Spokane mostly (1.5 hours from Pullman, I would live there during the week) and I have a job interview in Boise (much further, but a great job opportunity). I can't wait to see what the future brings.

Update 2: Sean's Godson

We drove from Pullman to Fargo (2700 miles roundtrip) for a wedding and Sean's mom's b-day. It was our only trip to ND this year, so it was good. On Friday we got to see Sean's good friend Tim, his wife Sarah and their son (Sean's Godson) Austin. He turned 1 in July and is such a cutie. I think it's good for Sean to be around kids:)

We also got to meet our friends Ben and Kayla and their son Elias (just a few weeks old). I got to hold him through lunch - so cute!! We are so happy for them and their new family of three. Sean's making a weird face - but it's the only picture I have.

Update 1: Pics of Lizzy

Here are a few pictures of Lizzy. She's full-grown, so she really won't change much but she is very cute. She has started shedding a lot though, so I've been cleaning like a maniac.
She is our little LizzyMonster (that's what my dad calls her). She is such a sweet dog. She loves Lobster and she doesn't destroy toys in one sitting - she does it slowly over time. Currently, Lobster has no stuffing or squeaker but he is still her favorite toy.

Lizzy meets Raven

We spend the weekend in Helena with my family. It was really nice to get out of town, and Lizzy got to meet my parents dogs Raven (85 pound black lab) and Ellie (cocker spaniel). Raven was soooo happy to have a friend this weekend. Notice how Lizzy looks like she went swimming? That is from Raven slobbering on her!!
Here's one of all the dogs together. Ellie was even nice to Lizzy all weekend!

The dogs played for three straight days and they were worn out! I didn't take any other pictures, but we had a nice day golfing and playing cards.

This makes me feel old

I have spent the better part of 2 hours trying to figure out all of the layout stuff with this blog. I thought I had a pretty good handle on technology, but this is very frustrating! I think I'm finally starting to get this. Allison and Monica: I'd love any tips you have to offer!!!

Goodnight.

1st Anniversary and Lizzy

Sean and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on the 2nd of August. We were given a gift certificate for the Sunset House Wine Country Inn in Prosser, WA. Prosser has about 30 beautiful wineries, so Sean and I got to taste a bunch of fabulous Washington wine and spend the night in a beautiful B&B. This is the view of town from the Sunset House.

We got to watch the sunset behind Mt. Rainier - and that's Mt. Adams off to the left (kind of hard to see). Absolutely breathtaking!
Sean and I toasting to our marriage with the champagne Antoine and Guillaume brought for us from France. Amazing! On another note, Sean and I adopted a 1 1/2 year old white German shephard/husky mix. She is small, about 40 pounds, and very mellow indoors - but she does like to run! We love her so much!!

First Post and Urbin/Falconer Wedding

I think it's so neat when people have blogs to follow, so I'm going to try it out. I don't think we are exciting enough for this and Sean will probably hate it for now, but what the heck! Maybe we can start highlighting the fun things that we are doing.

Last week we were in Grand Rapids and Holland (Michigan) for Sean's brother Travis's wedding. It was such a fun week with both Sean's family and the Stephanie's (the bride) family. We got to visit Lake Michigan and a wooden shoe shop - very cute. I hope that we can all get together again soon!
The wedding was absolutely gorgeous! It seemed like everything went perfectly and it was a low-stress day. Travis and Stephanie make a beautiful couple
